The tight contest for second place in Acre's Senate race stems from a fragmented field of experienced candidates, with recent polls showing technical ties among Mara Rocha (Republicanos), Márcio Bittar (PL), and Jorge Viana (PT) behind leader Gladson Cameli (PP). Bittar benefits from incumbency and party infrastructure, while Rocha has posted competitive numbers in July-August surveys amid her alignment with the gubernatorial ticket. Viana draws consistent support from left-leaning voters. Cameli's resignation as governor to run, combined with ongoing legal appeals, has reshaped alliances without yet clarifying the second-vote distribution. Low undecided shares and the state's multi-seat system sustain the close margins, with further separation likely depending on coalition consolidations and final polling trends before October 4.
