Flavio Bolsonaro leads recent state polls in Rio Grande do Sul for the October 2026 first round, with shares around 34% versus 28% for Lula in the latest Quaest survey and a technical tie near 40% in Real Time data. This positioning reflects the state's southern electoral dynamics and right-leaning voter base, where the PL senator outperforms the national PT incumbent. Other tested names such as Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, Renan Santos, and Augusto Cury register low single digits, while fringe candidates remain near zero. A late August statement by Flavio affirming respect for electoral rules added minor stability, though the race remains subject to shifts from undecided voters (often 18%) and any national developments before election day. Market pricing aligns with these state-specific polling trends.
