If the result of this election isn't definitively known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the result of the election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Brazilian government, specifically the Superior Electoral Court (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral, TSE) (e.g., www.tse.jus.br/eleicoes/resultados-eleicoes).Recent Datafolha polling shows Benedita da Silva leading Senate intentions in Rio de Janeiro at 15%, with a fragmented pack—including Carlos Jordy, Carlos Portinho, Pedro Paulo, Marcelo Crivella, and Monica Benicio—clustered between 6% and 8% for the second Senate seat. Flávio Bolsonaro’s presidential run has opened the contest, allowing multiple PL and center-right contenders alongside left and PSOL options. Trader odds reflect this uncertainty, with no candidate consolidating a clear path to second place ahead of the October 4 vote. Further surveys, party alliances, or late campaign momentum could shift the tight grouping.
