Recent July 2026 polls from Real Time Big Data and Quaest show ex-governor Renato Casagrande (PSB) commanding 24-32% for one Senate seat in the October 4 election, leaving the second spot fragmented among PSD, PT, MDB, and PL contenders. Sérgio Meneguelli (PSD) leads trader odds for second place at 38% amid strong state deputy performance and party support, while Fabiano Contarato (PT), Rose de Freitas (MDB), and Maguinha Malta (PL) trail at 17-21% on name recognition and regional bases. Incumbent re-election challenges for Contarato and Marcos do Val, plus voter indecision above 10% in surveys, sustain the tight distribution. Late campaign events, coalition alignments, or turnout shifts among swing voters could widen gaps before voting.
