Lula maintains a commanding position in Rio Grande do Norte for first place in the October 4 first round, reflecting the state's status as a Northeast stronghold where the incumbent draws consistent backing from lower-income voters, women, and traditional PT supporters. Recent campaign activity, including Lula's August visit to bolster local allies and highlight infrastructure investments such as water projects and health facilities, has reinforced this base amid national polling that shows him ahead of challengers like Flávio Bolsonaro. Trader consensus at 95% implies limited scope for fragmentation, though late shifts from economic pressures, turnout variations among undecided voters, or unexpected regional events could narrow the margin before election day.
