Recent polls, including the final Infratest dimap survey for ARD conducted August 24–25, show the AfD at 42% (up 1 point from July), far ahead of the CDU at 22% (down 2 points to a record low). Other parties trail with the Left at 11%, SPD at 8%, Greens at 6%, and BSW/FDP below the 5% threshold. The September 6 election is only days away, with roughly 10% of voters still undecided. These figures point to the AfD roughly doubling its 2021 result while the current CDU-SPD-FDP coalition weakens sharply. Seat projections based on current trends and entry patterns cluster around 38–41 mandates out of 83 total, as smaller parties’ likely exclusion modestly boosts the AfD’s share without delivering an absolute majority. Traders have priced the latest polling stability and the absence of major late shifts into the leading 38–41 outcome.
