Recent polling averages for the September 20, 2026, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Landtag election place Alliance 90/The Greens at approximately 4.9% and the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) at 4.1%, with the most recent INSA survey showing 5% versus 4%. Both smaller parties remain well below the 5% threshold needed for parliamentary entry, yet the consistent narrow margin in favor of the Greens has shaped trader consensus reflected in the 73.5% implied probability. The BSW, a newer formation drawing from former Left Party supporters, has shown declining support in successive surveys this summer, while the Greens have held relatively steady despite broader challenges facing left-leaning options in the eastern state. With the campaign entering its final weeks and no major candidate announcements or policy shifts altering the smaller-party dynamics, current survey trends continue to underpin expectations that the Greens will receive more votes than BSW.
