Recent polls showing Die Linke leading or tied ahead of the September 20, 2026 Berlin state election have lifted Elif Eralp's implied probability as the party's top candidate. Trader consensus reflects her party's momentum on housing costs, rent controls, and living expenses in a tight multi-party race, while Stefan Evers of the CDU trails after replacing the prior governing mayor amid scandals and budget austerity measures. Other named contenders from the SPD, Greens, and smaller parties register lower odds due to weaker polling and coalition uncertainties. The market prices capture the narrow window before election day and potential post-vote coalition talks in the Berlin House of Representatives.
