**Recent polling shows Die Linke leading or near the top with 19–22% support ahead of the September 20, 2026, Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus election, up sharply from its 12.2% result and 20 seats in 2023.** This surge—driven by strong momentum for lead candidate Elif Eralp, rapid membership growth (now the largest party in Berlin), and weakness in the governing CDU-SPD coalition—positions the party for roughly 28–34 seats under standard proportional allocation with the 5% threshold. **The market remains tight between the 30–34 and 40+ brackets because small shifts in vote share among the clustered top parties (CDU, AfD, Greens) can alter seat totals in a 147-seat parliament, while late-campaign dynamics, turnout, and coalition math add volatility.** No two-party majority appears viable, keeping focus on whether Linke can sustain its edge or face last-minute consolidation by rivals. Traders weigh the current polling lead against historical precedent for late swings and the limited time remaining before election day.
