The closely matched Broncos-Chiefs AFC West rivalry, featuring two Week 1 and Week 8 matchups, drives the elevated tie probability in this season series market. Denver enters as the defending division champion after its 14-3 campaign but faces regression risks following an unsustainable run of close-game wins, while Kansas City rebounds from a 6-11 finish with Patrick Mahomes returning from a late-2025 ACL tear. Both clubs boast elite defenses and capable offenses—Denver bolstered by Jaylen Waddle and Bo Nix's continued development under Sean Payton—yet preseason projections and betting markets treat the sides as near equals in a deep division. This balance, combined with typical divisional split outcomes, underpins the consensus around a series tie over either team claiming both victories.
