Futuro Nazionale, founded in February 2026 by former Lega MEP and general Roberto Vannacci after his split from Matteo Salvini’s party, has rapidly emerged as a more hardline nationalist alternative focused on remigration, border controls, traditional values, and skepticism toward EU policies. Multiple polls from June to July 2026, including YouTrend and SWG surveys, show the new party reaching 5.3–6.7% and either matching or exceeding Lega’s 5.4–6.0% share, drawing support primarily from right-wing voters disillusioned with Salvini’s coalition role. This momentum, ahead of elections due by late 2027, underpins trader assessments that Futuro Nazionale is positioned to outpace Lega’s stagnant or declining results in the next national vote.
