Recent opinion polls ahead of Sweden’s September 13 parliamentary election show Vänsterpartiet holding a modest edge over Centerpartiet in voter support, supporting the current trader consensus. In the latest Indikator Opinion survey, V stands at 7.6 percent while C registers 5.9 percent, consistent with mid-August readings from Novus, Verian, and others where V has hovered near or above 7.4 percent and C between 7.1 and 8.0 percent. Both parties sit within the centre-left opposition bloc that continues to lead the governing Tidö parties overall, though that bloc gap has narrowed sharply since June. Campaign attention on cost of living, security, and energy issues has not produced a clear shift between the two smaller parties, leaving their relative finish dependent on turnout among left-leaning and centrist voters in the final weeks.
