Recent polling for Sweden's September 13, 2026, Riksdag election shows Vänsterpartiet and Miljöpartiet running neck-and-neck in the low-to-mid single digits, with several August surveys placing the Greens marginally ahead or level. This narrow gap underpins the market's tight pricing around an even split in total votes between the two. Both compete for overlapping left-leaning voters within the broader red-green bloc, where overall centre-left support currently leads the Tidö government parties. Proportional representation and the four-percent threshold amplify small swings in preference or turnout. Late-campaign developments such as targeted environmental messaging, shifts in Social Democratic coattails, differential mobilization among urban versus younger cohorts, or any last-minute policy contrasts on welfare and climate could alter relative performance before election day.
