Futuro Nazionale, founded in February 2026 by former League MEP and general Roberto Vannacci after his split from Matteo Salvini’s party, has shown steady gains in Italian polling. Multiple surveys through August 2026 place the far-right nationalist movement between 5% and 8%, recently surpassing the League and approaching Forza Italia while drawing defectors to reach eight MPs. Its platform emphasizing strict immigration controls, national sovereignty, and remigration resonates with voters shifting from other centre-right parties ahead of general elections due by December 2027. These trends underpin traders’ assessment that the party is well positioned to clear the 3% threshold, though outcomes remain sensitive to coalition dynamics and any pre-election pacts with Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy.
