Recent polling averages ahead of the September 13, 2026, Swedish parliamentary election show the Social Democrats leading at roughly 30%, with the Sweden Democrats holding a narrow edge over the Moderate Party for second place at around 19% versus 18%. This positioning reflects sustained voter support for the Sweden Democrats amid ongoing focus on immigration, crime, and security issues during the campaign, while the Moderate-led Tidö government bloc trails overall. Recent surveys from Verian, Novus, and Demoskop indicate the gap between SD and the Moderates has remained stable in the final month, though bloc leads have narrowed slightly from earlier summer readings. Traders price SD as the clear favorite for second based on this consistent ordering in late-stage data.
