Recent polls ahead of Sweden's September 13 parliamentary election show the Social Democrats (S) maintaining a clear lead near 30-32 percent, positioning them as the likely largest party. Sweden Democrats (SD) hold steady in second place at 18-20 percent across multiple surveys from Verian, Novus, and Demoskop, narrowly ahead of the Moderate Party (M) at 17-18 percent. This gap, which has persisted through the summer campaign focused on crime, immigration, the economy, and security, underpins trader consensus that SD will finish ahead of M. The Liberals remain below the 4 percent threshold in most measurements, limiting right-bloc options, while internal bloc movements have not altered the SD-M ordering. Late shifts remain possible but have not materialized in the final weeks.
