The elevated probability for a split series reflects the closely contested AFC North matchup between the Ravens and Bengals, with both clubs entering the 2026 regular season on strong preseason footing and relatively healthy. Cincinnati added significant defensive reinforcements including Dexter Lawrence, Boye Mafe, and Jonathan Allen to bolster the pass rush around Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase, while Baltimore improved its offensive line via free-agent signings and a first-round guard and relies on Lamar Jackson amid lingering questions about its interior defensive line depth following Nnamdi Madubuike's neck surgery recovery. The home-and-away schedule and comparable roster talent make a 1-1 outcome the market's leading consensus, with the Ravens holding a modest edge in implied strength over a Bengals side still building consistency.
