The Browns' ongoing rebuild, highlighted by the offseason trade of Myles Garrett, new head coach Todd Monken, and an unsettled quarterback room featuring Deshaun Watson as the Week 1 starter ahead of Shedeur Sanders, creates substantial uncertainty in these AFC North rivalry games. The Steelers enter with more roster continuity, Aaron Rodgers under center, and stronger overall projections, yet both clubs face typical divisional variables including injuries, short weeks, and home/away splits across the October 1 Thursday night matchup in Cleveland and November 1 return game in Pittsburgh. Preseason results and recent head-to-head trends underscore how low-scoring, physical contests often produce splits, keeping the implied probability of a series tie or Browns win clustered near the top.
