Recent USGS monitoring shows no significant uptick in seismicity or foreshock activity near Los Angeles fault systems, with only minor events below magnitude 4 recorded in recent weeks. The short remaining window through 2026 aligns with historical recurrence intervals for magnitude 6.5+ quakes in the region, which USGS long-term models place on decadal rather than monthly timescales. Trader consensus at 90.9% for "No" reflects this low near-term likelihood, supported by steady strain accumulation without immediate precursors. An unexpected rupture on the San Andreas or nearby blind thrusts remains possible but statistically improbable within months absent new model shifts or swarm activity.
