Traders have assigned Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” a 92 percent implied probability of finishing as the number-two song on Spotify’s US chart for the week ending August 28, reflecting its commanding current streaming trajectory and consistent daily gains. This frontrunner status aligns with the track’s established audience engagement and promotional positioning against a field of lower-odds contenders such as Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stupid Song” and “the cure,” Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me,” and releases from Tame Impala and Steve Lacy. An upset remains possible if any competitor posts an unexpected late-week streaming spike or benefits from viral amplification before the chart period closes, though such reversals have been uncommon in recent comparable weeks.
