This market will resolve to "Yes" if OpenAI achieves a public valuation of $1 trillion USD or more, or raises a private funding round that values the company at $1 trillion or more between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." To qualify, the valuation must be explicitly confirmed by OpenAI or an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting. The resolution source will be OpenAI’s official communications, however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.OpenAI’s $852 billion private valuation, reaffirmed by its August 2026 employee tender offer, sits just below the $1 trillion threshold while annualized revenue run rates reach $24–40 billion amid strong enterprise adoption of its large language models. CEO Sam Altman has rejected any IPO below $1 trillion, prompting a shift toward a 2027 listing after the June 2026 confidential S-1 filing rather than a rushed 2026 debut at a discount. Secondary-market indications near $894 billion and continued funding from Amazon and Nvidia underscore sustained investor confidence in AI capabilities and growth, yet the absence of a 2026 IPO catalyst and flat valuation since March keep the market-implied probability of crossing $1 trillion this year near even.
