Lebanon's parliamentary elections, originally set for May 2026, were postponed by a parliamentary vote in March 2026 to 2028 amid the ongoing Lebanon war and related security disruptions, creating a distant and highly uncertain timeline that keeps all probabilities low. The Amal Movement's modest 2.2% edge reflects its established Shia constituency, long-term control of the speakership under Nabih Berri, and role in recent government formation alongside allies, while most other listed parties sit near 0.1% due to Lebanon's fragmented confessional system, recent military and political shocks, and the absence of clear frontrunners. Trader consensus remains diffuse because consolidation behind any single list would require sustained ceasefire progress, shifts in alliances among Shia, Christian, and Sunni blocs, or major changes in voter turnout patterns before the rescheduled vote.
