Goldman Sachs leads trader sentiment in the OpenAI IPO lead underwriter market at 75.5% implied probability, reflecting its recent role as lead-left bookrunner on the record SpaceX listing and long-standing advisory ties to major technology and artificial-intelligence issuers. OpenAI’s confidential S-1 filing in June 2026 positioned both Goldman and Morgan Stanley as primary bookrunners, yet Goldman’s edge stems from greater allocation influence and execution depth amid the crowded 2026 AI IPO calendar that also includes Anthropic. Morgan Stanley holds the secondary slot at 24.5% due to parallel involvement and separate deal teams created to manage conflicts, while other banks remain in supporting syndicate roles with minimal reported activity. Potential 2027 timing shifts and ongoing private funding milestones, including the March $122 billion round, continue to shape expectations ahead of any formal lead designation.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or OpenAI completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of OpenAI's final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from OpenAI. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
