Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Zacatecas on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Zacatecas gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Zacatecas and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Zacatecas and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.Ulises Mejía Haro leads the 2027 Zacatecas gubernatorial race at 43.5% implied probability due to his stronger name recognition, territorial organization as a sitting federal deputy, and positioning within Morena’s internal coordination process ahead of the June 6 vote. The party’s 33-38% statewide preference edge sustains this edge in recent surveys, yet the pre-nomination phase—with multiple registered aspirants including Verónica Díaz Robles at 12%—keeps trader consensus fragmented and probabilities closely matched across contenders. Security concerns tied to cartel-linked violence remain a key variable that could shift dynamics, while opposition parties continue to trail overall. Separation is likely to emerge once Morena clarifies its nominee and potential coalitions form closer to election day.
