This market will resolve according to the official UFC Heavyweight division champion on December 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET. Only official UFC division champions will count. Interim champions will not count. If the relevant belt is vacant at this market’s check time, or there is otherwise no champion in the specified division, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes).Tom Aspinall holds the undisputed UFC heavyweight title but remains sidelined by lingering eye injuries from the October 2025 no-contest against Ciryl Gane, creating a split-belt scenario with Gane as two-time interim champion. Gane strengthened his position with a second-round TKO of Alex Pereira in June 2026, setting up a high-stakes unification bout that traders view as the primary path to clarity before year-end. Aspinall’s recent return to full training and ongoing talks for a potential Paris clash keep him the narrow consensus favorite, while Gane’s activity and recent form support his strong second-place pricing. Lower-ranked contenders like Alexander Volkov sit far behind due to limited title contention opportunities in the compressed timeframe, with the division’s improving depth noted by UFC leadership but not yet altering the top-two dynamic.
