This market will resolve to “Yes” if the listed fighter becomes champion of any UFC division between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Only official UFC division champions will count. Interim champions will not count. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Several fighters captured or defended UFC titles during the first eight months of 2026 amid notable upsets and roster shifts. Justin Gaethje claimed the undisputed lightweight belt with a fourth-round stoppage of Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250 in June, while Ciryl Gane took the interim heavyweight crown by stopping Alex Pereira on the same card. Sean Strickland reclaimed the middleweight title via split decision over Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 328 in May, and Carlos Ulberg captured the vacant light heavyweight strap with a first-round knockout of Jiří Procházka at UFC 327 in April. Islam Makhachev extended his record win streak to 17 with a unanimous decision defense of the welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry at UFC 330 in mid-August.
