SpaceX's June 2026 IPO, which priced at a $1.77 trillion valuation before shares climbed above $2 trillion in early trading, underpins the strong 93.5% market-implied odds that it will exceed OpenAI's eventual IPO market cap. The aerospace and AI company's Starlink revenue base, vertical integration across rockets, satellites, and large language models, and post-listing performance contrast with OpenAI's $852 billion private mark, $40 billion annualized run rate, and confidential S-1 filing without a confirmed 2026 timeline. OpenAI faces higher infrastructure losses and potential delays into 2027 to pursue a $1 trillion target. A surge in OpenAI revenue or favorable market conditions could narrow the gap, though current trajectories favor the established public valuation.
