**Mohammed Umaru Bago holds the leading position in the Niger State gubernatorial market as the incumbent APC governor affirmed unopposed as the party's 2027 candidate in May 2026 across all 277 wards.** This followed broad stakeholder consensus and his retention of deputy Yakubu Garba on a Muslim-Muslim ticket. Traders price his strong re-election prospects at around 80%, reflecting APC's statewide dominance, including sweeps in prior local council polls, plus Bago's emphasis on agricultural transformation, infrastructure, and inclusive governance. Opposition figures such as ADC nominee Mohammed Kpautagi and Abubakar Suleiman remain at low single-digit implied probabilities due to structural party disadvantages and limited recent momentum. The February 6, 2027, election timeline and absence of major disruptions since the primaries reinforce current positioning, though late developments could still alter dynamics.
