Mbah Peter Ndubuisi holds a dominant position in the Enugu 2027 gubernatorial race as the APC nominee and incumbent governor, backed by strong party primary results, zonal endorsements across Enugu East, North, and West, and support from groups including Ohanaeze Ndigbo and northern communities in the state. His October 2025 defection from PDP to APC aligned the state executive with the national ruling party, facilitating infrastructure projects, federal collaborations on roads and the airport concession, and adherence to Enugu’s rotational zoning tradition favoring a second term. Opposition figures such as James Ene Nwannaji (NDC), Dona Nwogbo and Geoffrey Uchechukwu Nnaji (PDP factions), and others face fragmented party structures and limited recent momentum, resulting in lower implied probabilities. The market reflects trader consensus on these established political alignments and recent primary outcomes ahead of the January 2027 vote.

This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Enugu State gubernatorial election. Any interim, acting, or caretaker Governor will not qualify.
If the results are not known definitively by October 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
To be elected Governor, a candidate must satisfy the requirements under Nigerian law, including receiving the highest number of votes cast and the constitutionally required geographic distribution of votes. If no candidate has been officially elected by the resolution deadline, this market will resolve to "Other".
This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results published by Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Nigerian government sources.
