Colorado Initiative 108 is a ballot measure scheduled to appear in the statewide general election currently scheduled for November 3, 2026, which would require life in prison without parole or release for persons convicted of human trafficking a child for sexual servitude. This market will resolve to “Yes” if this ballot measure is approved as a result of the Colorado statewide general election currently scheduled for November 3, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.” If voting on the specified ballot measure does not occur, or the results thereof are not known definitively, by March 31, 2027, this market will resolve to “No”. Subsequent litigation or any failure to implement the measure will have no impact on the resolution of this market. This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official information from the State of Colorado, including the Colorado Secretary of State (https://www.sos.state.co.us/). Colorado voters will decide Initiative 108 on November 3, 2026, which would reclassify human trafficking of a minor for sexual servitude as a class 1 felony carrying a mandatory life sentence without parole and expand the definition to cover knowingly trading anything of monetary value for sexual activity with a minor. The measure qualified for the ballot in March 2026 after Protect Kids Colorado gathered over 169,000 signatures. A mid-August Common Sense Institute analysis noted Colorado’s elevated trafficking rates—60 victims under age 19 reported in 2025—and projected modest added corrections costs of roughly $50,000 annually once implemented in 2027. A prior legislative version failed in the 2026 session. With the election approaching and limited visible opposition in recent coverage, trader pricing reflects expectations of strong support for enhanced criminal sentencing on this issue.
