PL maintains a leading position in trader consensus for the October 4, 2026, Chamber of Deputies election due to its structural advantages as Brazil’s largest current caucus, with strong state-level organization, candidate recruitment, and alignment with the broader right-wing movement in the proportional open-list system. UPB trails as the primary center-right alternative but faces fragmentation from competing centrão groups. Recent presidential polling showing a tightening race between Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro has not materially altered legislative positioning, as PL’s established infrastructure continues to anchor expectations ahead of the vote. Other parties remain marginal in implied probabilities given limited national reach.
