Recent polling averages place the SPD between 12% and 15% for the September 20 Berlin state election, reflecting its position as the junior partner in the incumbent CDU-SPD coalition amid broader voter shifts toward the Left party and AfD. Surveys from Forsa, INSA, Civey, and Infratest dimap through mid-August show the SPD trailing at or near 12-13% in the latest readings, consistent with a multi-month decline from spring levels near 16-17%. This positioning stems from limited differentiation on key state issues such as housing and public services, combined with national headwinds for the party and the coalition's exposure to events including infrastructure disruptions. The resulting trader consensus centers on the 10-13% and 13-16% brackets as the most probable outcomes, with narrower bands reflecting the stability of recent survey results ahead of the vote.

This market will resolve according to the percentage of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) received by SPD in the specified election.
If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket.
This market will resolve solely based on the percentage of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) won by the specified party, defined as the number of valid second votes won by the specified party divided by the total number of valid second votes in the specified election.
Valid vote percentages will be counted only where the Election Office of Berlin (Landeswahlleiter Berlin) attributes them to the aforementioned party. This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting.
