Recent polls for Berlin's September 20 state election place the SPD at 12-15 percent amid a fragmented field where Die Linke leads near 20 percent, followed closely by the CDU, AfD, and Greens. This positioning reflects the party's ongoing national weakness at roughly 12 percent, compounded locally by its junior role in the CDU-SPD governing coalition under criticism for infrastructure and administrative shortcomings. Trader consensus in the 10-16 percent range aligns with these surveys, as the SPD trails other left-leaning options and contends with limited momentum from federal trends or coalition record. No singular late-August catalyst has shifted the trajectory, leaving the outcome sensitive to final campaign dynamics and turnout among traditional social democratic voters.

This market will resolve according to the percentage of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) received by SPD in the specified election.
If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket.
This market will resolve solely based on the percentage of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) won by the specified party, defined as the number of valid second votes won by the specified party divided by the total number of valid second votes in the specified election.
Valid vote percentages will be counted only where the Election Office of Berlin (Landeswahlleiter Berlin) attributes them to the aforementioned party.
