NRPUP secured the second-highest seat total in Zambia’s expanded 226-constituency National Assembly following the 13 August 2026 vote, driven by its role as the core of the Tonse-Pamodzi opposition alliance and broad candidate fielding across most districts. Official tallies placed the party well ahead of independents and smaller groups, reflecting consolidated support behind its presidential candidate and effective coalition coordination against the incumbent UPND. Trader consensus at 99.4% for NRPUP as second-place finisher aligns with these verified results. Potential shifts remain possible only through successful court petitions on specific constituency outcomes or delays in final PR seat allocation, though the scale of the reported margin makes such revisions improbable.
