This market will resolve according to the official UFC Light Heavyweight division champion on December 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET. Only official UFC division champions will count. Interim champions will not count. If the relevant belt is vacant at this market’s check time, or there is otherwise no champion in the specified division, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes).Carlos Ulberg holds overwhelming trader consensus at 91% to remain UFC light heavyweight champion through the end of 2026 due to his April 2026 first-round knockout of Jiří Procházka for the vacant title at UFC 327, despite suffering a torn ACL during the bout. The 35-year-old New Zealand fighter has compiled a 10-fight win streak with multiple first-round finishes against ranked opponents, and he is targeting an early 2027 return after surgery while explicitly ruling out any 2026 activity to prioritize full recovery. With no title defenses scheduled and no interim belt planned, the current champion faces no realistic threat of losing the strap before December 31. Factors that could shift odds include an unexpected strip for prolonged inactivity or a surprise retirement, though both remain low-probability given Ulberg’s public commitment to defending upon return.
