Arsenal’s elite defensive structure, anchored by goalkeeper David Raya, underpins the heavy market consensus favoring him for the most Premier League clean sheets in 2026-27. Raya earned his third straight Golden Glove last season with 19 shutouts while Arsenal conceded the fewest goals in the division en route to the title, and he has opened the new campaign with early clean sheets in the Community Shield and opening league fixture. The Gunners’ backline, featuring consistent performers such as William Saliba and Gabriel, continues to limit high-quality chances, supporting trader expectations that Raya will again lead the league in clean sheets. Secondary options such as Bernd Leno, Jordan Pickford, and Alisson trail significantly, reflecting the gap in projected defensive records between Arsenal and other clubs at the start of the season.
