The three newly promoted sides—Coventry City, Hull City, and Ipswich Town—anchor trader expectations for the 2026-27 Premier League bottom spot, consistent with the long-standing pattern that at least two of the trio typically return to the Championship. Coventry leads implied probabilities after a 3-0 opening loss to Arsenal exposed squad depth issues despite summer spending under Frank Lampard, while Hull and Ipswich face similar adaptation hurdles following managerial changes and points deductions at Hull. The tight clustering of probabilities across these sides and several established clubs reflects the early-season uncertainty, with form, reinforcements, and tough fixtures likely to separate the eventual last-place finisher in a wide-open relegation race.

If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish in last place in the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season (e.g., they are mathematically guaranteed to finish above 20th), this market will resolve to "No".
In the event of a tie for last place, this market will resolve based on the club officially recognized by the Premier League as finishing in 20th place. If multiple clubs are officially recognized as finishing in last place, this market will resolve to the club whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season is cancelled, postponed after June 13, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no last-place club declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official information from the Premier League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
