The sharp recent retracement of the Ascended Heroes Pikachu ex SIR (#276/217) underpins the heavy “Down” consensus. After rocketing from roughly $480 to peaks near $1,400 earlier in 2026 on breakout hype and strong collector demand for the understated booota artwork, the card has steadily corrected as more copies enter the market and post-hype momentum fades. TCGPlayer and Collectr data show consistent weekly declines through August, with current raw prices hovering around $1,050–$1,150 amid broader softening in modern chase cards. No major new releases, 30th-anniversary tie-ins, or precursor events are scheduled before the September 30 snapshot that would reverse the supply-driven pressure, leaving traders aligned on further downside in the near term.
