**Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), the APC candidate, holds overwhelming trader consensus at 86.5% due to his emergence as the party’s consensus and primary nominee for the 2027 Ogun governorship.** Governor Dapo Abiodun and key figures including former governors Olusegun Osoba, Ibikunle Amosun, and Gbenga Daniel endorsed him in April 2026, citing equity for Ogun West—which has never produced a governor since the state’s creation—and Adeola’s legislative record and grassroots projects. He secured the APC ticket in the May 2026 direct primary with 304,055 votes against zero for his sole challenger, and his name plus running mate Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun was submitted to INEC. Recent reaffirmations by the state APC in August 2026, alongside presentations to traditional councils across senatorial districts and cross-party backing, have reinforced perceptions of unified party machinery and limited viable opposition. Lower-priced contenders reflect fragmented or minor-party fields ahead of the February 2027 vote.

This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Ogun State gubernatorial election. Any interim, acting, or caretaker Governor will not qualify.
If the results are not known definitively by October 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
To be elected Governor, a candidate must satisfy the requirements under Nigerian law, including receiving the highest number of votes cast and the constitutionally required geographic distribution of votes. If no candidate wins the election outright, this market will remain open to account for any further election or runoff, provided this occurs before the resolution deadline. If no candidate has been officially elected by the resolution deadline, this market will resolve to "Other".
This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results published by Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Nigerian government sources.
