This market will resolve to the next individual who officially assumes the office of Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina by July 31, 2028, 11:59 PM ET. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally appointed by the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Chairman of the Council of Ministers takes office by July 31, 2028, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The upcoming October 2026 general elections and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s ethnic power-sharing rules remain the dominant factors keeping probabilities tightly clustered for the next Chairman of the Council of Ministers. The position rotates among Bosniak, Croat, and Serb candidates and requires parliamentary confirmation, typically after lengthy coalition talks among parties representing the Federation and Republika Srpska. With no clear frontrunner emerging in pre-election polling or party positioning, traders price in multiple plausible outcomes depending on seat shares and post-vote negotiations. Recent stability under the incumbent government has not produced major realignments, while historical patterns of cross-ethnic bargaining and occasional vetoes continue to support a wide field of contenders. Scheduled election results and subsequent coalition announcements are the nearest events that could separate probabilities.
