Stephen Curry’s deep roots and loyalty with the Golden State Warriors drive the overwhelming trader consensus at 94.8% for him remaining there, fueled by mutual interest in a contract extension eligible in late August 2026, his stated preference to finish his career in San Francisco, and consistent reporting that he has no plans to request a trade despite entering the final season of his current deal at age 38. Recent developments, including optimistic comments from Warriors officials and the absence of any sign-and-trade discussions or free-agency pursuits, reinforce this positioning ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Scenarios that could realistically shift odds include stalled extension talks pushing him into 2027 free agency, a significant injury altering his timeline, or a sharp decline in team contention prompting a late-career relocation.
