**Mega Dragonite ex prices from the Ascended Heroes set have fallen steadily since their early-2026 peak, driving strong trader consensus that the card will close below the $705.60 threshold on August 31.** Recent TCGPlayer data shows the key 290/217 SIR variant dropping another $93 in the past month to a $695.71 market price, with other listings near $668 after a roughly 19% decline. This reflects typical chase-card behavior: heavy initial demand for the box-art Dragonite fades as restocks increase supply and broader Pokémon TCG sentiment softens amid market malaise. No major new hype, reprints, or positive collector catalysts have emerged in the past week to reverse the trend. With the resolution date only days away and prices already trading under the line, traders see limited room for a meaningful rebound before month-end.
