Paris Saint-Germain enter the 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign as overwhelming favorites for Champions League qualification, backed by superior squad depth, recent back-to-back domestic titles, and a 91%+ implied probability in early simulations despite a season-opening draw. Lens, Lille, Lyon, and Monaco lead the race for the remaining automatic and playoff spots, with Lens showing strong recent form after their Coupe de France success and Lille adjusting under new management. Key factors include squad reinforcements like PSG’s Ferran Torres addition, Marseille’s post-Greenwood transition and financial constraints, and the impact of early match results on momentum heading into a packed schedule with international breaks. Trader consensus reflects PSG’s historical edge while acknowledging the competitive nature of the top-four battle.
