Mercedes leads the 2026 constructors' championship with a commanding points advantage built on superior power unit performance and energy management mastery under the new regulations. The team's early-season consistency, highlighted by multiple victories and strong results from Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, has translated into a substantial buffer over Ferrari and McLaren. Ferrari has aggressively pursued development with frequent upgrades to close gaps, while McLaren focuses on targeted chassis and aerodynamic refinements as the season progresses. Trader consensus reflects Mercedes' sustained pace and resource allocation advantages, though late-season upgrade wars, reliability concerns, or shifts in competitive balance from rivals could still narrow the margin before the finale.
