The crowded field of more than two dozen candidates for Cusco's 2026 municipal mayoral election has produced a fragmented contest, with trader consensus reflected in prices clustered near 50% for most options and lower implied probabilities for named contenders such as Albert Aníbal Arenas Yabar, William Peña Farfán, and Sergio Sullca Condori. Recent district-level campaigning, including visits to San Sebastián and San Jerónimo, has not yet consolidated support behind any single frontrunner. Upcoming scheduled polls, candidate forums, and formal party alignments could shift probabilities by clarifying voter preferences ahead of the October vote. The absence of dominant polling leads or major endorsements keeps the outcome highly uncertain in this multi-candidate race.
