Recent defections of local officials and legislators from the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) to the Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) have strengthened BFP positioning ahead of the September 14, 2026, vote, including the August swearing-in of Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua as BFP chair. These shifts, alongside BFP securing two unopposed district seats, have narrowed the gap in trader consensus between the MILF-linked UBJP and the broader BFP coalition. A fragmented field of over a dozen regional parliamentary parties, limited public polling, and ongoing security concerns in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region keep implied probabilities closely matched, with potential for further realignments or campaign developments to influence outcomes before election day.
