Maxx Crosby's position as the Raiders' starting edge rusher for the 2026 season stems primarily from his March 2025 three-year, $106.5 million extension that includes substantial guarantees and runs through at least 2029. After an offseason trade to the Ravens collapsed over knee concerns, the five-time Pro Bowler returned to Las Vegas, publicly reaffirmed his commitment, and reported fully healthy to training camp under new head coach Klint Kubiak. The Raiders' front office has signaled no current intent to move him despite occasional interest from teams like the Cowboys, reinforcing trader consensus around his retention. A midseason deal could still materialize if Las Vegas underperforms and receives multiple first-round picks, though his contract structure and recent statements make that outcome less probable.
