Announced August 19, the interim analysis showed statistically significant gains in recurrence-free and distant metastasis-free survival versus Keytruda alone in resected high-risk melanoma. The companies will share full data at an upcoming medical meeting and begin regulatory discussions on a biologics license application. With breakthrough therapy designation already in place, the timeline to potential FDA review hinges on submission speed and review duration, typically six to eighteen months. Other candidates, such as Scancell’s DNA plasmid vaccine, remain earlier in development and have not yet matched this late-stage momentum.
