The Parti Québécois maintains a consistent polling lead near 30 percent, driven by dominant support among francophone voters who determine outcomes in most ridings outside Montreal, positioning it as the clear favorite to secure the most seats in the October 5 election. This edge stems from multiple by-election gains since 2022 and the erosion of Coalition Avenir Québec backing after its leadership transition to Christine Fréchette. The Quebec Liberal Party trails in second with strength concentrated among anglophones and allophones, while the Conservatives draw further federalist support, fragmenting opposition votes. High undecided rates near 50 percent and five parties projected to win seats introduce volatility, though current trader consensus reflects the PQ's structural advantages in seat math.
