The New England Patriots enter the 2026 season as clear favorites in the head-to-head series against the New York Jets, reflecting their stronger roster depth, quarterback stability with Drake Maye, and recent divisional dominance after a 14-3 campaign and Super Bowl appearance in 2025. Projections place New England near 10 wins despite a tougher schedule, while the Jets face another rebuilding year with limited expectations around five victories or fewer following a 3-14 finish. The two scheduled matchups—one at Gillette Stadium in October and the return at MetLife in December—feature stark talent gaps that underpin trader consensus around a Patriots series edge. Minor roster adjustments and preseason evaluations have not materially shifted these dynamics.
